It is possible, during one's lifetime, to negotiate and sign a contract for prearranged funeral services.
The contract, which is entered into with a funeral director, must be in writing and include two separate documents: one covering funeral services and the other, disposition of the remains.
Prearranging one's funeral facilitates the organization of the actual event and ensures that one's last wishes are carried out.
