If you are 65 or over, the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS) will cover the cost of ambulance transportation on a gurney, if warranted by your state of health. This service applies to ambulance runs within Québec, from your home or a public place to the nearest health and social services institution that is appropriate for your state of health.
If you use this service, the staff that receives you at the hospital must certify that your condition required ambulance transportation on a gurney.
